Maxime Morise is a French violinist. In 2020, he graduated with a 1st Class Masters degree under the tuition of Radu Blidar at the Royal College of Music. He also received guidance from Alina Ibragimova. Since moving to London, Maxime has played as a soloist with several orchestras in a wide range of repertoire, from Sibelius to Sarasate and John Williams. Maxime has also been invited to play in different chamber music festivals such as Musethica, les Estivales de Puisaye and Encuentro de Santander. In 2018 Maxime took part in the BBC Symphony Orchestra scheme. Next year he will perform at the prestigious Académie Musicale Philippe Jaroussky.

In 2018 Maxime formed “Viphonix” with Christopher Cohen. An increasingly active and fruitful collaboration, this innovative duo explores ‘traditional’ music from a ‘classical’ perspective and has its roots in a wide array of styles, from Baroque to Klezmer.
The following year they co-founded “How do you practice”. The aim of this program is to compile a broad spectrum of practice methods developed by individual instrumentalists and share them for the benefit of all. Maxime led numerous workshops for first-year musicians in their Bachelor Degree at the Royal College of Music in 2019/2020.

Maxime is the recipient of the Stephen Bell Charitable trust, the Countess of Munster Musical Trust (Derek Butler Award) and the Frederick Johnston Scholarship.
