Vladimir Ivan graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (I.C.M.P.) in May 2012 specialising in electric and acoustic guitar. He has been playing for the last 13 years, performing with rock/metal bands back in Sweden where also studied music technology. He has actively been and is still working as a studio engineer at I.C.M.P. recording and mixing for students. Being in the company of some of the world’s best tutors, Vlad has learned and now applies a large number of musical areas like Technique, Sight Reading, Aural & Transcribing, Arranging and Composing, Rock and Finger style guitar.
Now, as a self-employed London based musician his focus goes into Rock-Fusion and Fingerstyle Guitar, building up his portfolio with music for adverts and videos and also working as a sound engineer/producer.
Vlad likes to name some of his main influences on guitar as being, John Petrucci, Tommy Emmanuel, Eric Johnson, Carl Verheyen, Brett Garsed, Frank Gambale and Pat Metheny.
