Tom Kenrick is a freelance bass player and composer living in west London. He has been playing bass for 10 years, with 5 years of teaching experience. In 2008 he completed his studies at the Academy of Contemporary Music, gaining a BA(Hons) in Contemporary Popular Music and receiving the award for ‘Outstanding Bassist of 2008’ on graduation. He maintains a busy playing schedule, working with a number of artists both live and in the studio. Tom has toured, recorded and performed with a number of artists including Jon Harrison (Highmoor Records), Rebekah Ryan (The X Factor), The Snowflakers (Christina Aguilera, Natasha Bedingfield), Russ Ballard, Ki Fitzgerald (Busted) and is currently bassist/musical director for Jamie Abbott.
Tom is a fully qualified teacher, with a PGCE from the Institute of Education, University of London. He has experience of teaching people of all ages and abilities in both one-on-one and classroom environments, and recently conducted a series of workshops for bass players at the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford. Tom specializes in delivering highly individualized tuition that allows students to achieve their own personal musical goals.
