Roberta Cannas originally from Italy, began her musical education at the age of 8. At the age of 11 she was admitted to the Conservatoire of Music of Cagliari where she was awarded a Master’s Degree in Violin with Distinction in 2005. Roberta moved to London in 2006 where she studied privately with Russian soloist Professor Lydia Mordkovitch until 2009. The recipient of a full scholarship, in 2011 she completed a Master of Arts in Performance and the LRAM Teaching Diploma at the Royal Academy of Music studying with Professors Joshua Fisher and Mayumi Fujikawa.
From 2012 Roberta has done freelance work with Welsh National Opera and the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia (Rome) and has been invited to perform with the Orchestra del Teatro la Fenice (Venice) and Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale RAI (Turin).
Active in education, Roberta has taken part in outreach work with Spitalfields music and is a committed teacher.
