Paul Mountford – Having played the piano since the age of seven, Paul has obtained many musical qualifications including a diploma in piano performance, which he achieved at the age of 18. Studying music at university he developed his piano playing further, achieving a first class award in musical performance, composition and appraisal. Paul has achieved musical qualifications on other instruments including the guitar and clarinet, and has a broad knowledge and understanding of musicianship and instrumental teaching. He currently works in London, delivering private piano and guitar tuition to clients from as young as five years old to adult. Paul’s teaching ability is versatile and he is able to adapt his teaching approach to suit the interests and abilities of his clients. Paul has accompanied candidates taking instrumental examinations, working alongside exam boards including ABRSM. His wider musical experience includes performing and accompanying in theatre companies, jazz bands, choir groups and many other large and small scale ensembles. Having studied multiple areas of music, Paul is able to provide varied music tuition in styles ranging from classical and folk, to pop, contemporary and jazz.
