Paolo Bassi is a freelance bass/ double bass/ guitar player and teacher based in London. He began his studies at C.A.M. jazz music school in Florence.
Later His interest for jazz music brought him to study with the legendary Charlie Banacos (New England Conservatory of Boston, Berklee College of Music and Harvard University )
In 2005 he moved to London to pursue his studies and musical career. He graduated from Middlesex University with a BA Hons Jazz Degree 2.1 and he is also in possession of a Rockschool Music Performance LRSL Level 6 Licentiate Higher Diploma with Distinction and a PTTLS certificate in teaching training.
He has got many years of experience in teaching bass/ guitar/ music theory and harmony.
He has been a music lecturer at Kent College and he is currently a teacher for Harrow Music Service and St Anselms School. As a performer he is got over 20 years of significant experience with many musicians and bands of any kind of music from jazz, classical, soul, funk, fusion, latin, pop and rock.
He plays every kind of music with a remarkable technical ability, very strong sight reading skills and background in music theory and harmony.
He toured all around Europe with different bands and orchestras playing in festivals, theatres and renowned venues as well as being a session recording musician.
