Kim Griffin is a professional bass player living and working in London and has taught privately since 2006. During this time, Kim has discovered the importance of introducing elements of music theory, chord recognition and technical exercises, to his teaching approach. These skills are incorporated gradually while working towards the students’ goals so it always feels like a natural progression. In 2008 Kim graduated from the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford with a BA(Hons) in Contemporary Music. He has since been performing with a variety of original artists and function bands as well as frequently deputising for other projects. During 2009/2010 Kim played for touring theatre show ‘The Rex Roman Pink Floyd Show’ with whom he also performed a 3 week run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His current projects include soul & funk band Groove Intermission, reformed 80’s band Strange Arrangement and London based Lost in Wonderland.
