Johanna Craven is a fun and friendly piano/composition teacher with over ten years experience. Born in Australia, she holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Melbourne and attended the Film and Television scoring program at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Jo loves to teach children and adults of all ages and is careful to tailor lessons to suit the individual needs and interests of every student. She teaches piano to all levels, whether for examination purposes or just or fun and can cover styles ranging from classical to jazz, to the latest pop songs. Her lessons incorporate technical studies and music theory in a relevant and interesting way, ensuring students have a strong understanding of these key elements while playing the music they love.
Johanna currently works as a composer for film, theatre and television. She believes that creation of your own music is one of the most rewarding experiences as a musician and loves to teach composition to students of all ages and abilities.
