Elena Cappelletti started her cello studies in Italy where she obtained a bachelor degree at the “G.Verdi” Conservatory, in Milan. She then completed her Master degree at the Royal Academy
of Music and a chamber music Master at the Hochschule fur Musik in Hannnover. She participated in several Masterclass’ with Professor Natalia Gutman, Maria Kliegel, Robert Cohen, Thomas Demenga. She was awarded a Junior Fellowship at the Royal Academy of Music with the Alauda Quartet which was also nominated Park Lane Group Artist 2015.
The quartet held a tour in China, Serbia, Italy, Spain and Germany. She was part of several Educational Projects created by London Philarmonic Orchestra’s Foyle Future Firsts Development Programme, involving experience with children of all ages. She worked for the Westminster Music Service, offering music workshops in public schools. She was appointed Young Professional String Quartet in residence at the ensemble-training programme Pro Corda. Elena was also winner of the Rotary Club Roma Competition in 2010, “Concorso Nuovi Orizzonti” in Arezzo 2008 and “Idelmo Poggioli” Competition in Naples 2006. She is part of the Philarmonic Chamber Orchestra of London, the “G.Verdi” Symphony Orchestra in Milan, the “Orchestra Fondazione Petruzzelli” in Bari and Teatro San Carlo in Naples. Recently Elena was part of the Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra 2015.
