Angelica Batalova began her musical training at the early age of 6. She studied in VRM music school in Lithuania spending countless hours practicing and performing the
piano till the age of 13 and then for a year she took private piano lessons from the famous Lithuanian teacher Mary Radvilaite. At the age of 15 she attended the high music school – Vilnius J. Tallat-Kelpshos conservatory in Lithuania graduating from it with a degree in Piano performance. She also studied music specialty at Vilnius Pedagogical University. While studying for the bachelor degree she had the opportunity to study the piano, solo singing, conducting and singing in the choir. After bachelor degree, she also studied further and received a Master’s degree. During her training and after graduating she went to various concerts as a piano soloist and as an accompanist in Lithuania and abroad. In 2003 she participated in the national competition of chamber ensembles and accompanists in the category of accompanists. It was a duet with violin. She won 3 awards. The Competition was held in Klaipeda. Her working activity is very diverse. She worked as a teacher of music at the center for adult students, and organized concerts. After that she worked in an organisation for mentally retarded people and was the leader of the vocal group. Her experience as a piano teacher and accompanist started at the musical school. There she was involved in different concerts, festivals and competitions. Her teaching practice is based on syntheses of Russian and Lithuanian methods of the piano school. She is highly influenced by old traditions of Russian and European music schools. Her primary goal of teaching is to help students understand music, love music and enjoy playing the piano. She teaches both classical and jazz music, music from popular movies and song compositions and music which may affect the human souls.
