Adel Sahnoun’s music versatility has led him to perform at London’s top venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, Saint Martin in the Fields & the O2 Academy.
Winner of the June Emerson Wind Music Launchpad Prize of 2012 and finalist in the Harold Clarke Woodwind Competition 2011. Adel has also recorded for the BBC Persian and broadcasted for the BBC Radio 3 & BBC Radio 4.
Born in Algiers, Adel started playing the flute at the age of thirteen, where he entered the Conservatoire de Musique de Bologhine in the class of Djamel Ghazi. Four years later, he was the youngest player to join lOrchestre Symphonique National d’Algerie. The same year, he was also invited to perform with the l’Orchestre International de Paris.
Since 2010, Adel has held the position of solo flute with the Co-Opera Co; and Last October, he has been appointed 2nd flute with l’Orchestre Symphonique Algerie-France too. He is also an associate member with Kidenza, Takaleed, and co-founder of the Prima Vista & Amorosi Duo.
He performed in masterclasses of: Wissam Boustany,Patrick Gallois, Jacques Zoon, Susan Milan, Paul Edmund Davies, Jonathan Snowden, Dan Laurin,and Pamela Thorby. He has accompanied the legendary singer and oued player Abdul Salem Kheir and the world renowned mezzo-soprano Jocelyn B Smith.
Adel has graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance where he studied the modern flute with Anna Noakes, piccolo with Alain Baker & Baroque flute with Stephen Preston.
