Dave Sharman is a critically acclaimed guitar virtuoso, singer-songwriter and multi- instrumentalist. Although his main genre is rock, he often cuts across styles, blending influences from rock to pop to blues, funk and classical.
Alongside his blistering guitar skills, Dave is also an extremely approachable and down to earth guitar tutor. He believes the key to success is understanding and patience and ultimately what is best suited for the needs of the student.
He can teach a variety of styles including rock, pop, blues, folk and classical as well as improvisation and composition. He is also experienced in music production, recognising the importance of such a skill in today’s market.
Whether you’re a beginner wanting to learn your favourite song or write your own riffs. Or a more experienced musician wanting to take your playing to the next level, Dave will specially tailor his lessons to fit around your individual goals and requirements.

Select press: “Evolution Machine is a blistering album of guitar wizardry – calling to mind Steve Vai and Eddie Van Halen – but it also melts into slower, more ballad-like pieces.” – Steven Rosen, Roadie Crew (excerpts from an interview)
“Dave’s session triggered one of the greatest responses in the program’s history – an impressive feat, considering that past guests included Iron Maiden and Def Leppard”- Guitar World Magazine
“Dave Sharman, is for my money the best guitar player I have heard since Vinnie Moore and Sharman’s debut, 1990 is infinitely more pleasant on the ear than Vai’s Passion and Warfare.” – Paul Miller, Kerrang.
“He’s probably the finest guitarist to emerge from the European continent in decades and could well single handedly redress the international balance between Europe and the US.” – Pete Prown, Guitar For The Practicing Musician (excerpts from an interview).
