Mark Walters studied trombone and piano at the Royal College of Music and has a wealth of experience working as a musician and teacher.
As a trombone player he has worked in many different musical genres – orchestral, opera, ballet, chamber music shows (including in the West End) and some jazz and light music. Mark is an experienced teacher, of both brass instruments and piano, of pupils of all ages, standards and backgrounds, in schools (both public and private sector) and privately. He knows how to assist pupils through grade exams, especially the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and has taught many pupils up to Grade 8 and beyond to Diploma standard. Mark also taught theory of music extensively, especially the all important Grade 5, and he considers that a solid grounding in music theory to be hugely beneficial for producing high quality musical performance.
